After my first entry in Kyrgyz (yeah, don’t get surprized) I decided not to make you wait long
and write something in English. Recently someone tried to translate my blog into English using online translation by Google. Unfortunately, even though this kind of translation can give you some idea of what was writer trying to tell you, one cannot call it real translation at this point of development in automated translations. To tell the truth, they can simply make you laugh. Some people think they can use such kind of software to translate text and then correct all mistakes manually. I can assure you: it is easier to translate everything from scratch by yourself than redo the whole text after this word by word «translation».
Anyway, I was not going to discuss the latest developments in the realm of automated translations in this my post. In the posts below I wrote about different thigs starting from the meaning of my name and how I chose domain name for this blog to my observations from the AIA visit here to our country. But I am not just willing to translate those lines to you. I think I will write in English completely different things. I will just follow the flow of my thoughts as I usually do when writing in Russian and Kyrgyz. Since I am not a native english speaker, probably, I will have some mistakes in the text. But I know you will forgive me that
, since the main goal of every language is to convey what you think to those who are willing to listen and understand what you’re saying.
So, after saying: there are so many things to write about, what is the main idea of this post?
Let us say, we’re gonna have presidential elections this year! No, no, no. This is not a joke
even though sometimes you cannot help laughing in this eccentric homeland of mine — the country where we have several constitutions and when making decision when to have elections you can consider the one which suits your needs the most! Isn’t that wonderful! Where else you can have such a democracy to choose between several constitutions instead of being limited by one? Nowhere but in Kyrgyzstan! Well, there are other things that can astonish you if you never heard about Kyrgyzstan. Having so many rivers to be used for generating hydroenergy, and so many galciers to have fresh water from, we have electricity cut offs for 6 hours each day and no fresh water in many villages.
But we DO have a lot of good things too. Maybe we just neglect them in everyday life. Here in Central Asia we have plenty of sunshine and gorgeous hature. Every season here comes on its time and has its own beauty as nowhere else. We have wonderful, simple people always ready to receive you as a guest in their house. I believe, if God let the nation named «kyrgyz» exist, He has a special plan about it. We just need to keep it in our hearts and do our best for this country. Then we will suceed. With God’s help, of course.

Спасибо большое, Марина, за такую высокую оценку. У меня нет лингвистического образования, просто пишу для души
An interesting article written in good English! There are only two entries in English though and they were made ages ago. Keep it up man. By the way, after taking a look at your blog, I have come to think that your love of Kyrgyz, efforts to translate things into Kyrgyz make us like-minded. There is one more lad on diesel.elcat.kg called dead_moroz who is also trying to promote Kyrgyz. In fact, we are going to launch a joint Kyrgyz language project soon.
